Flixster
The Flixster app for Android brings movie and DVD information right to your T-Mobile myTouch. You can watch high-quality trailers, pull up showtimes and theater information, and see reviews from other users and from Rotten Tomatoes. The app is location-aware, meaning it automatically pulls up movie theaters close to your current location and even offers mapping from within the app. Theater information includes telephone numbers, showtimes, and prices. Movie information includes full-screen trailers in landscape mode, cast list, director, MPAA rating, and the genre.Â

Trailer playback is pretty smooth, with no noticeable stuttering and intelligent buffering. I would have liked the ability to actually purchase tickets through the app, but that’s being touted as an upcoming feature at the moment. You don’t need to sign-up or be a member of Flixster to use this excellent app. The app is free and available now on the Market. A useful and easy-to-use myTouch app that could do with a few more features to make the movie-going experience even more pain-free for myTouch holders.
