World Tour (La Tour Eiffel)
La Tour Eiffel, aka “World Tour” for the myTouch is a simple app that lets you setup a “live” wallpaper by pulling in live webcam pictures. The wallpaper updates every half hour with a new image from the webcam. You can pick over thirty locations from around the world and most of them are surprisingly well suited for wallpapers. The app started off with only one webcam, that of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (hence the name of the app). It now contains a wonderful list of locations, including the Statue of Liberty in New York, and a neat image of the rotating earth as the line seperating night vs. day moves across the globe.Â
 
This myTouch app also offers an option to pick a random webcam from the list. While the default update time is set to 30 Â minutes, you can change that to 10, 20, or even 60 minutes depending on the type of webcam. With the proliferation of webcams around the world, this app has a lot of potential to entertain a wide range of people with varying interests. The app also supports saving specific wallpaper images to your microSD card, in case you find that your favorite scene is lit up just perfectly at a specific moment.

I am having so much fun with this app. The laundry cam in Japan is one of my favorites. Wish they would would add more cams with people.

I wish they would add more cams, i can add my own links but you can’t save them with the others… i hope they do an update SOON!!!
